RV Parks in Raleigh, North Carolina

Hey friends!

This week Caitlin had three shows in the Raleigh, NC, area. We booked this trip several months in advance and still couldn't find any RV parks in Raleigh that had available spots. The only thing that seemed like a sure thing was the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. The website states that it's a first come, first serve campground. We have never stayed at a campground we couldn't reserve ahead of time, but we didn't have any other options, so we decided to try it.

North Carolina State Fairgrounds

We were pleasantly surprised with the campground's safety and cleanliness upon arrival. The campground was well-lit, but no bathhouses or other amenities.

We had a full hookup, and they have individual trash bins outside each spot. We booked an extra day when we figured out we liked the area.

Checking in was quick and easy; we called the number at the ranger station upon arrival. We picked out our spot and called back, and a park employee came to our site and collected our money for the stay.

They had many restaurants and shops nearby, so this is a great find. We paid $30 a night, and we're also told that they're moving to reservations only very soon.

We highly recommend this campground if you're looking for a nice RV park near Raleigh, NC.
